Feeling sleepy
I really don't know how the weekend got away from me, but it did! Friday night I finished up the laundry that didn't get done last weekend because of the play. I know... excuses, excuses!
Saturday I attended the Quilting and Sewing Expo in Rosemont, IL with my daughter Alison and my friend Pat. Yes, I bought lots of goodies, including some cool looking thread that might work for tatting. When I have some time I'll give it a try and let you know!
What happened to today? I really don't know! I looked for some knitting needles, got distracted with organizing my sewing room, found the knitting needles upstairs in the spare bedroom, watched a knitting video, tried the technique with no success, and then it was 5 o'clock!
I did manage to start a pair of socks for my grandson. I really don't think he'll want store bought socks with tatted or crocheted edgings like the girls are getting. I also managed to tat a little more of my Spinning Wheel, but that's about all I accomplished. I'm feeling awfully tired for getting so little done!

You organized your sewing room! that's a major accomplishment even if it was only a little disorganized. You deserve to give yourself a big pat on the back!!!
ReplyDeleteHello!
ReplyDeleteLovely things here in your blog.
Congratulations!
I don't know yet how to make this...
I´ll see you more times, now that I am following your wonderful blog!
Teresinha
(excuse my speech... I am portuguese!)
You accomplished a great deal in a short amount of time. You are to be congratulated!
ReplyDeleteSo little done??? You did the laundry, acquired new craft supplies, organized your sewing room, practiced a new knitting technique, did some more knitting, and some tatting. What more would a productive weekend entail?
ReplyDeleteWowza! You did a LOT! I managed to do quite a bit of tatting & dyed some thread, but not much else got done! My husband was hunting on Sun, so I took that time for me & my tatting.
ReplyDeleteYour projects look like mine. I go back and forth all the time, but love it all. It keeps me calm. I would love to learn how to make socks. Do you know of an easy pattern on the web that I could learn? Thanks, Linda
ReplyDeleteHi Diane! Sounds like you did lots to me! =D I love your new tatting project! I can just picture the girls pretty little socks with the fancy edgings. You'll have to post pictures of those! It's always been boy stuff around here, so I'm just starved for anything really girlie! Hugs, Paulette
