I'm really enjoying making these headbands. Luckily, I have four granddaughters who just might be interested in having headbands to go with every outfit!

ReplyDeleteThat doily is a good antidote to the idea that everything must be completed as quickly as possible! I read about a knitter once who said she used small needles and fine wool to prolong the pleasure of knitting, and that changed my outlook somewhat.
ReplyDeleteWhen it comes to yarn and thread, I agree with that knitter! Also, I feel more elegant using finer yarns and threads... silly, isn't it? :-)
Deleteit's the same with my embroidery. I like slow stitching to extend the pleasure of creating something special for someone. I do mindful embroidery= keeping my thoughts on the recipient and adding love and good wishes in every stitch.
