My dish cloths are looking really dingy, so today was a knit day. Unfortunately, I did not have enough of this oatmeal colored yarn to finish the dish cloth, but since it's for me, I'm fine with a blob of color in one corner.
I decided to try a new pattern today. This is the Almost Lost Washcloth Pattern. It was a fun knit, and I think I'll probably make it again.
My button journey continues.
I'm hoping to finish up Rita's buttons by the time school is out.
I've enjoyed working on them, but I'm ready to do some of my own!
I've looked back over your blog and cannot find the answer - what on earth are those flower buttons for?
ReplyDeleteI saw them on hair bands and she sells them fast!
DeleteI also attach them to hair clips, and I sell them individually. I've thought of decorating t-shirts and note cards with them. Rita decorates baseball caps and elaborate brooches.
DeleteI love the burst of color in the corner, it's wonderful!
ReplyDeleteThat almost lost reminds me of a spinning wheel by MK!
Those wash clothes were a favorite thing I loved to get from my mom when she made them. brings back memories. Your buttons are so festive to see.
ReplyDeleteI love knit dishcloths. They have nice body, and they give me a reason to knit! I've tried knitting sweaters, but I just can't seem to get the size right, so shawls and dishcloths work for me!
DeleteLike Michelle, I thought the almost lost is a knitted version of the spinningwheel mat! I like the bit of colour on the square one too.
ReplyDeleteThank you! I've never shied away from combining colors on dishcloths. They still work, so why waste the yarn?
DeleteI like the Almost Lost dishcloth.
ReplyDeleteAs soon as I saw it, I thought, you must really like the Spinning Wheel doily that you even had it knitted.
Jon, I wish I had enough knitting-know-how to design a dishcloth like this!
DeleteI love the spiral dishcloth. Send me the pattern.
ReplyDeleteOf course I ment to say please send a link to the pattern - copyright of course.
ReplyDeleteOh wow ! Adorable Almost Lost dishcloth ! The colourway & pattern work beautifully ! Thanks for sharing the link, too :-)
ReplyDeleteI'm inspired to knit this pattern in knitting thread (something I've been meaning to try for a few years) as a coaster.
Lots of fabulous colors!!! :)
ReplyDeleteLove that neat looking dishcloth!! :)
My friend knits dishcloths too and she makes some with mixed colors like that for herself or for me. :)
I like that splash of colour in the corner of your wash cloth, and the button brigade just keeps growing! Love the colours in the Almost Lost.
