We spent another Saturday at Alison's working on her house. Dave worked. Alison ran the kids around. I tatted! Even using size 20 thread, it takes a long time to tat a hanky edging. I didn't take any extra thread with me, so here is where I had to stop. I think that's pretty good progress for one day!
I did have my shuttles loaded for another Spinning Wheel glass mat. This one is in size 20 Lizbeth, Leaf Green Lt. #683.
You'd think I'd get tire of tatting this pattern, but I don't. In fact, I can hardly wait to see what it will look like in the next color a pull out of the tub of thread I have on hand!
I sorry I have been away from my desk and did not comment , but I really did like the white one too ! this green is a nice shade and I use it lots!
ReplyDeleteHanky looks lovely
ReplyDeleteThe green spinning wheel mat is looking lovely,
Margaret
The hankie looks so delicate. Yes, the spinningwheels look so different in different colours, it's a good way to show off threads.
ReplyDeleteMy MIL had tatted handkerchief edgings (6x4) for gifts, including the pattern you are tatting which she also elongated into a sari edging ! She made it a point to finish one fully loaded clover shuttle each day. Your lovely hanky just reminded me of that ...
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shade of green.
Your hanky edging and Glass Mat are lovely. I'm wondering if you have memorized the second. I'm also wondering if you have them on every flat surface of your house...
ReplyDeleteThe hanky edging is looking good, looks like you're almost done. I think tatting should be enjoyable and if you enjoy making spinning wheel glass mats then keep it up!
ReplyDeleteNothing to sneeze at.... : ))
ReplyDeleteI love every Spinning Wheel in every color you tat. I can see why you don't tire of tatting them. Embracing Tatting Bliss...
