I spent the whole morning working on quilt pieces. First, I sewed jelly roll strips together.
Then, I cut those strips into squares. Next, I sewed two squares together. After that I cut the squares diagonally tinto four triangles.
The next step was to open up those triangles and press them into squares. I'm not sure if I'll have time to sew tomorrow, so I'm happy that I was able to achieve so much today.
This afternoon I turned on the Olympics and tatted my doodad ornament of the day.
I also managed to tat another 2026 Christmas button ornament before dinner time. I think I might just sit and do nothing tonight!

Love the shades of yellow!!!!
ReplyDeleteSo clever, how the squares are put together! Yes, you deserve to do nothing for a while.
ReplyDeleteHai tagliato tantissima stoffa e quei colori mi piacciono molto.
ReplyDeleteSono super curiosa di vedere la trapunta finita.
Anche io ieri ho guardato un po' le olimpiadi
That was a clever way to do the squares, look forward to seeing how it finishes up, well done on tatting watching the Olympics
ReplyDeleteWe need some yellow here in the UK - the sun has been missing for weeks!! Love those colours.
ReplyDeleteYou have been busy! Looking forward to seeing how the quilt continues. You remind me of my sister, who is also already working on Christmas tatting. Great job!
ReplyDeleteI love seeing and following all of your progress!! I am a 'student' of the Mad Tatter, of St. Paul MN. She and I have work together on your patterns, such as the ice drops and 'Monthy' ornaments. Would you share the name of the cowl pattern? I also bought some of the 'peppermint' button, thinking to just adapt one.of your other ornament patterns?? Same with the Doodads? Thanks!!
ReplyDeleteI am beginning to feel like a slacker seeing all your progress!!
ReplyDeleteGreat projects!! :)
