Russian doily finished!


I think it looks so pretty! It's about 8 1/2" in diameter, and I think the Victorian Red is the perfect color. The shuttle is one of my Handi-Wind shuttles from Grizzly Mountain Arts. It's one of my favorites!


If you'd like to make one for yourself, the pattern can be found in this book. Don't worry if you don't speak Russian. The diagrams are terrific!

Running out of thread

...is always a possibility when using a partially filled shuttle!


My shuttle is rewound and I'm ready to finish the bottom of the cross. This one's taking me a long time, because I'm just not catching on to the pattern. It's not difficult, it just requires my very close attention so that I don't lose my place in the pattern!
