Oops! I did it again!

I forgot to blog yesterday. I didn't really have much to record.

I've been working on my sister-in-law's runner. I'm almost finished with my first ball of Lizbeth Linen Med. I think I will need two more balls to finish.

I finished another pendant in DMC Diamant. I do enjoy working with this thread!

Lazy day

Dave asked me what I did today, and my answer was, "Apparently, not much." I could not think of what I had accomplished!

I did manage to tat one Ice Drop pendant in Ocean Turquoise Dk. I now have the dozen I wanted for Christmas in the Village. Any more that I make will just be icing on the cake!

I did work on a Swedish band pattern today. The first two pattern repeats did not look good at all, but I did develop a rhythm by the third pattern repeat. I think I'm going to enjoy weaving this band!

Shopping day

Dave and I went shopping at IKEA today. It's about an hour away, so shopping took up a good chunk of our day. We bought some benches that I've long admired, and we put them together as soon as we got home.

I did manage to finish another pendant. I had dreams of accomplishing so much more today. Oh,well!

Mom loves red

Yesterday I posted a picture of a gold pendant that I made for Mom at her request. However, her favorite color is red, so today I tatted a red pendant. The glass gem looks blue in this picture, but it's actually clear. The camera must have picked up a reflection of the blue shirt I was wearing today.

This thread is DMC Diamant, which I purchased from Rita Richmond of Shuttle by Design. I think it's slightly thicker than the Rexana, and it's very nice to work with. I am finding that I need to tat more slowly with the metallic threads in order to keep my stitches even. I don't mind. Tatting is supposed to be fun and relaxing. It's not a race!

And now for four beads!

It's been weeks since I started this band. The pattern was very easy to follow, so I don't know why it took me so long. The top and bottom are the right side of the band, with the middle two being the back. I sent a picture to Mom this morning and told her I saw N for Nancy (Mom's name). Mom responded that she saw Zs. I guess it's all in your perspective!

Today's Ice Drop has four beads in place of the picots.

Another pendant is done. I now have six! Christmas in the Village is December 9. I wonder how many Ice Drops and pendants I'll have finished by then?

Another day, another Ice Drop... or two!

Today I decided to use stacked beads instead of picots... just a touch of bling!

Once again, I've tatted a matching pendant. I put two of my newest shuttles in the picture just to prove that I do use the beautiful shuttles I purchase. 😁

Our soybeans were harvested today, and for the first time in more than 20 years, I thought to take before and after pictures.

One of the things I love about living in the country is seeing the changes in the fields with each season. I do love the fall!

I got carried away

I admit it. I really got carried away this time. I do love Rita Richmond's shuttles, and these beauties called out to me!

I'm enjoying tatting Ice Drops with Lizbeth Arctic Waters. I think the crackled glass gem adds to the frosty look!

Craftie sylvie asked about the bale, so I thought I'd share a couple of pictures showing what it looks like glued to the glass gem.

I glued bales to several glass gems before starting to tat, so I know they'll be sufficiently dried by the time I use them. I just slipped them into place according to the pattern.

The placement of the ribbons has to do with where I finished tatting. Although I'm pretty good at hiding my ends, I think the ribbon adds a nice touch. I'm hoping my Ice Drop pendants are a hit at our Christmas in the Village!
