Too soon

My daughter went back to work too soon. She really needed another day of rest to get over this nasty bug that's going around. I knew that I would be subbing for her again today, so last night I went upstairs to get some more cotton yarn for dishcloths.

I found this dishcloth that was over halfway done, so I brought it downstairs and finished it while Dave and I watched t.v.

I also had time to work on some more Chapstick holders.

I woke up early this morning and actually had time to finish a doodad ornament before heading off to school.

I had a purple dishcloth half finished, and I was able to complete it this morning. I had just enough yarn left over for half a dishcloth, so I finished it off with yarn left over from last night's project. I feel like I'm starting to make a dent in my stash!

I finally finished the first of seven dishcloths for daughter Alison. This has been my carry-along project so that I can work my way through all of the dishcloth cotton I've discovered while cleaning and organizing. Yes, there's a lot of it!

I have about 20 minutes between the two high school lunches, so I spend that time knitting. At the pace I'm going, I will be knitting dishcloths for a long, long time!

 I decided that daughter Carol needed just one more dishcloth. Now I'm ready to start on a set for Alison!

This is the last dishcloth for daughter Carol. Now I have to start a set for daughter Alison.

I started a quilt top for grandson Janko today. I have half of the strips sewn together, and I'm hoping to have time to sew the other strips tomorrow. I'd love to have this quilt top finished this week, because I have three others to put together!

Diagonal garter stitch dishcloths

 

I've gone back to the diagonal garter stitch dishcloth pattern. It works up much faster than the last two patterns I tried. I have two more to make for daughter Carol, and then I'll start a set for daughter Alison.

School starts Thursday, and I'm looking forward to being the lunchroom supervisor again. I'm guaranteed to get my steps in every day!
