This little cutie is decorated with fabric left over from my Dorset bag/origami pouch. I don't have any pink shuttles left, so I used green. I think the green, chocolate brown, and cream look really spiffy together!
Leave a comment on this post for your chance to win. I'll be drawing the winner's name this weekend. Good luck!
Love the shuttle and the bags are perfect, wish I had a set!

ReplyDeleteHi Please enter me in the draw. it is a beautiful shuttle. I have really enjoyed making an origami bag for myself after your post last week. i t would be lovely to have a new shuttle to put in it
ReplyDeleteFar be it from me to walk away from such a pretty shuttle giveaway. *grin* Yes, please sing me up for a chance to win.
ReplyDeleteNow that you have tried shuttle bling with papers and fabrics, do you have a favorite? If so, why?
They do look beautiful together! Brown goes so well with so many other colors, I don't know why I don't wear it more often. Do please enter me for this lovely shuttle.
ReplyDeleteVery nice. I think the shuttle would look awesome in my hands. :-)
ReplyDeleteGood question, Isdihara! I've just rediscovered my Xyron sticker maker... makes working with paper so much easier, but it doesn't work very well with fabric. I have found that using Decoromana's method of applying a coat of acrylic paint first makes a huge difference in working with both the paper and the fabric... they both adhere better. I now use Marty's tip... I trim both the fabric and the paper with curved nail scissors... so much easier than a craft knife!
ReplyDeleteI guess what I'm trying to say is, adopting the paint-the-shuttle-first idea from Decoromana and the trim-with-curved-scissors idea from Marty, I find that I enjoy them both immensely! I'm staying away from card stock though. It's way too heavy.
Love you shuttles and bags.....I started needle tatting but love the grace of shuttle tatting and am practicing as much as possilbe with the shuttle....just ring and chain wreaths so far but soon I will branch out to trying to follow a real pattern.
