There's a lot to celebrate in January in our family. My "baby" brother's birthday is the 11th (49 years young). My niece Phoebe turned 30 on the 13th. I became a great-aunt for the first time on the 16th... welcome to the world Gavin Lawrence! Last, but certainly not least, my mom is celebrating her 79th birthday today! Happy birthday, Mom!
I think this is cause for celebration, don't you? About a week and a half ago, my friend Denise stopped by with some fabric and thread for me... we do that sort of stuff more often than we realize, I think. Denise thought this wintery fabric would be perfect on shuttles, and I think she is so right! So, one shuttle is for Denise. One shuttle is for me.
Whatever should I do with the third shuttle? How about a giveaway? I know... I'll have a drawing using the Random Number Generator. Leave a birthday wish for my mom on this post, and you could be a lucky winner!

Happy Birthday to your Mom! I hope today is wonderful for her. And congrats on the new great-nephew - how fun to have a baby around to spoil. Yesterday was my Brother-In-Law's birthday and two of my nephews have January birthdays (one was born on New Year's Eve, so almost!) Lots of really wonderful people were born in January! (I missed it by a few days too, but on the other end.)
Looks like we have something else in common, Diane. My sister, her husband, one of my cousins, my grandmother and one of my aunts (who also happends to by my Godmother) all have birthdays this month.

I love the blue shuttles with the cute mittens on them but I love the Mardi Gras bag the shuttle were in. Where on sEarth did you find the bags? Do you have any more of them?
