Friday fun

I finished my chores early today, so I had plenty of time to play!

I finished "Camilla" from Tatted Bookmarks ~ cross-shaped by Lene Bjorn, and I still have plenty of size 20 Lizbeth Green Coral Sea.

Next on my list was to finish Alenalea's mystery doily. I'm really glad I chose to tat it in blue and white, one of my favorite color combinations.

I had plenty of blue and white thread left on my shuttles to tat my latest Ice Drop. Sometimes two color tatting is really effective!

Stormy weather

We had a series of thunderstorms today. I love thunderstorms! The temperature dropped significantly, making it very pleasant to walk on the porch. 😀

Since I didn't tat an Ice Drop yesterday, I felt it was important to start the day off right using blue!

I worked on my inkle band today. I was very pleased that my experiment worked, and both sides look the same!

That's not to say I have inkle weaving down pat. I look at it that I'm finally starting to understand how patterns are created!

This afternoon I concentrated on Alenalea's mystery doily. I really like the blue and white together.

I hear thunder, so I guess I'd better get off the computer quickly. I don't compute during thunderstorms!

A walk on the porch

It was too hot to walk in the park today, so I walked on the porch. It wraps around two sides of the house. I have shade. I know where to find water. I don't have to drive to get there. It works for me!

I did slow down my pace a bit. Instead of walking for an hour straight, I walked in 15 minute increments throughout the day. I'm not nearly as exhausted as I was yesterday!

Alenalea posted the final round of her mystery doily today. I wasn't even halfway done with round 6, so I finished that first.

This afternoon, I worked on the final round. Daughter Carol came over for a visit, so I didn't get as far as I thought I would.

To be honest, Carol's visit didn't set me back that much. Daughter Joanne got me hooked on Poldark, and sometimes I get so caught up in watching the scenery, I just stop tatting!

For Joanne

Daughter Joanne said my Tudor Rose Ice Drop needed to be red, so this morning I tatted one in red!

Alenalea posted round 4 of her Mystery Doily Tat-along, so I worked on that this afternoon

I also managed to find a little time to work on my Mochila bag. I know I haven't gotten very far, but I want to make sure I do it right!
