Playing with sequins

I never thought of combining sequins with tatting until Marti on the Ice Drop Addicts Facebook page showed some absolutely gorgeous pieces. Marti's are stunning! Mine are just fun. ;-)

Now that I've found a way of adding sequins that I like, I will probably incorporate more of them into Ice Drops.

Another tatter (I'm sorry, but I can't remember who) said that she used beads to help hold the sequins in place.

No pictures were posted, but this is what I tried, and I think it worked pretty well!

Color explosion!

Island Breeze is quickly becoming one of my favorite colors!

Although it's been in my stash for a while, I think this is the first time I've used it. I can see so many possibilities for accent colors!

Adding sequins and a different colored ribbon give the thread a totally different look.

No I need to find a way to add the sequins so that they don't flop all over the place! Have any of you tatted with sequins?
