I don't think Dad understood my obsession with shuttles, but he did make me a beautiful display case that I cherish. I remember him telling me that I had to stop collecting shuttles when my display case was filled. Luckily, my sister Janet gave me another display case for my birthday a couple of years later, and my husband built a display case for me last Christmas. I wonder where my next display case will come from? ; )

Aww, how pretty! I love glitter! Count me in :o) I love when I randomly find glitter on me or my stuff during the day, usually left over from something Livi and I did together. It's a pick me up :o)

Very pretty shuttles as always. I bought some modge podge and extra shuttles (no need to buy glittery nail polish, my older daughter is 11, we have lots)to give this a try with sometime soon...we'll see how it works out :-) I've read over your post on how you do them a couple of times and hope to try a couple in the next day or two.
Your display case must truely be a treasured thing...I recently lost my Grandfather, age 92, it's been so hard to have him gone though his life was long. I treasure the birdbath he made for me a few years ago even more now.

Oh Diane please post photos of your shuttle display cases. I have never seen one. Your father must have been very special to make you such a treasure. Yikes...I was using glitter where I shouldn't have been and now have it permanently attached to the wood table and floor. Mr. C will be very unhappy when he sees it...he does the floor cleaning and polishing...bless him. Wonderful week to you...
You should post a pic of one of your display cases- I love how shuttles are both a useful tool and frequently miniature works of art at the same time!

OH my goodness i love your tatting shuttles they are so cool...i just learned to tat and its my favorite art. im only 19 so some of my friends think its weird but i dont care its really fun...i also crochet lace and knit lace but tatting is my favorite. i have 3 tatting shuttles and they arent anything like the ones you prettied up....please count me in on the giveaway.
