TIAS Day 4

I learned a new tatting technique today... make that two techniques... the Catherine Wheel join and undoing the Catherine Wheel join. I was quite pleased to complete the bottom row, until I realized that I'd put my very small picot in the wrong place. So, I retro-tatted the row and reworked it. I'm not thinking flower pot any more, I'm thinking coffee cup!

Since we had no school today, I spent my time between doctor visits (just routine, nothing wrong) tatting simple pieces. Yes, that's another braided doodad on the left in Lizbeth 166 Pink Cocoa, which makes me crave a bowl of Neapolitan ice cream! I played with layered flowers again. This one has three layers, which I'm not sure I like.

What's that in pink? Could it be another Spinning Wheel glass mat? Yes, indeed! I'm using thread that I've been saving for something special, and what could be more special for me than a Spinning Wheel? The thread is size 20 Coats HDT from Tatskool. The color is Raspberry Sorbet... yum!

I may have to attempt that pattern one day!!! I did request the Mary Konoir books from the IOLI library - not sure how long it takes to get them (if they are available for loan). I only have one of her books + am curious at the others. I do have a few patterns from the Ring of Tatters publications.

Tatt On ....

Hmmmmm....with all your spinning wheel glass mats, I am beginning to wonder if they could be joined together somehow and make a larger project....If I did that many I would have to check that out, but...I will just leave the thought. :)

Nice way to spend the day off :) I am going to have to put that spinning wheel glass mat on my list of pieces to make. Glad you have that CWJ mastered now - and the un-CWJ too. LOL.

Hi Diane: I've been sewing - as, in origami bags. I didn't finish them for holiday gifts (I kno). I am still baffled how you made so many bags! I admit, as I'm making them, they go quicker .... maybe my family members will enjoy them (and fill them with little goodies).

Enjoy the day. Stay warm.
