Tantalizing tootsies

After seeing Fox's latest post, I just had to dust off my totally out-of-character shoe purchase from a couple of years ago. These are without a doubt, the most uncomfortable pair of shoes I own, but I just can't part with them! I wore them to school one time, and the kids thought they were wonderful... too bad they kill my feet! Yes, my skin really is that pale... I think I need to spend a little time in the sun! Anyone else out there have some funky shoes to show off?

On the tatting front, I just had to start another Spinning Wheel Glass Mat. I can't help myself... I LOVE this pattern! The thread is one I've been holding in my stash for the perfect project. What could be more perfect than Mary Konior's Spinning Wheel? The thread is Bell Peppers from Sherry Pence aka LadyShuttleMaker. In my humble opinion, HDT is the best thread to use, and I have plenty to play with!

  3. I LOVE funky shoes! (this is Jo, not Dave! LOL)

Keep your pale skin, Diane. I had to have a very deep skin biopsy right on the joint of one of my toes this fall and it wasn't fun. The sun is good for plants, but not skin :)

  10. The shoes are adorable! I am at a point in my life where comfort tends to win out over looks (sounds like my age is showing-lol). I do have a few pairs of cute uncomfortable shoes left that I wear when I go somewhere for a short period of time. My favorite shoes are Sketchers-they are cute and comfy:)

    Blessings,

    Kim

  11. I'm delurking to say hi. Those are cute shoes, but life's too short to have uncomfortable feet. And when you talk about the spinning wheels all I can think of is that you're making a mat to set a spinning wheel on. It's my automatic reaction.

  12. Cool shoes! Have you tried getting them wet and wearing them until they dry? That usually works for me. Yep, I am that pale too... though I go out in the sun, I wear 60 sunblock to keep from getting burned!
