Pink?

I think the pink looks better in the picture than it does in person. I'm not sure if this is the right color, but I do like the pattern! It's "Cottage Border" from A Pattern Book of Tatting by Mary Konior. I do love Mary's designs!

The thread is Fincrochet No. 30. The shuttle is from Emsyjane.

  1. This is pretty, but because I have seen the other pattern in the white, I have to say I think I prefer the white one! You cannot go wrong with either one though, in either colour!
    That's Mary Konior for you.

  4. Very pretty. Wouldn’t that edging be pretty in ‘corsage’? It would go well with the flowers in the towel...love looking at your blog at the end of my day...hugs bev

  6. You know I'm a "color girl," so it surprised me that I preferred the white - so far. The pink is so pretty and the pattern an excellent choice. If you decide to try the blue I would love to see, but really either one of these would look very nice.

(So why do I prefer the white?) The white drew my eye to the tiny white flowers in the handkerchief, which I hadn't noticed before. And the white didn't compete with the colorful roses for attention.

  7. It's a tough call, but I rather like the pink, especially as it seems to complement perfectly the roses. As I'm kind of 'late' chiming in here, you'll probably already have the edging finished!! You always amaze me with your speed!!! :)

  8. So far I like the white best. My first thought was a blue - I'm anxious to see that now too!

  9. This pink is perfect on the hanky. I love how your shuttle matches your hanky motif with the roses. Very clever of you. Happy tatting...
