7 yds

That's about how much size 10 Lizbeth I was able to wind on my new Sunlit shuttle. Not bad... I can tat a lot with 7 yds!

As you can see, I even have some thread left on the shuttle. There's quite a difference in the size of the finished motif (Flower Fragment from  A Pattern Book of Tatting by Mary Konior). Size 3 thread is on the left, size 10 on the right.

I think I might have to try size 20 next!

How do you like the new shuttle? I have not purchased one (yet) and wondered how you like it?

  2. Interesting to do the same motif in different size threads. And get to know your shuttle as you go!

  6. I wonder if size 3 thread will catch on, it could be very useful for some jewellery as is 10 already. Interesting seeing them both together

  8. Pretty color too. I am not fond of the 10 (thickness) but to be fair I have not tried it in the lizbeth thread (which I love their 20 and 40). I ordered a couple of the sunlit and love them. They do hold a lot and without "gapping" like my clovers can do.
