Pffffft!

Finishing my doily left me really excited to start a new project, so I pulled out Festive Tatted Snowflakes & Ornaments edited by Barbara Foster. I skipped Snowflake 1, because I didn't feel like searching for a 2 1/2" satin covered ball. I'm sure I have one, but it's someplace really safe!

Moving on to Snowflake 2 was a great idea, and I was able to tat it up very quickly. However, I made a mistake on the last spoke of the snowflake, which absolutely ruined it.

It wasn't worth my time to take out all those rings and chains, so I'll just have to tat another!

  2. I bet that would hardly show if you put it on a ball.

  3. Hmmm... I see your tatting plight and can certainly understand how you feel... I don't know how many times I've missed steps, myself.

However, the colorway is lovely and everything else looks beautifully uniform, and (to me) is still pleasing to the eye.

Oh, and I really like how it looks on your (tablet?) cover... cool!

  5. Too bad about that one arm:-( It's a very pretty snowflake patter and the thread choice is right for it. The next one will go better!

  7. I can't find the mistake. Your pattern looks great to me.

I wish I could learn to tat. I have tried but so far no good.

    Best wishes,
