Pond Spinning Wheel

I was so happy to finish my Spinning Wheel glass mat today. With all the activity last week, I didn't think I'd ever finish it! The pattern is from Tatting with Visual Patterns by Mary Konior. The thread is size 20 Pond hand-dyed thread from Yarnplayer. Have I mentioned how much I love hand-dyed thread?

Besides finishing this beautiful Spinning Wheel, my day was filled with mundane tasks. I loved it! Who would think that there could be so much pleasure gained from washing dishes, doing laundry, and sweeping the porch? I approached everything I did at a leisurely pace. I think I'm going to enjoy retirement!

  5. Love that pattern and love the thread too. I need to post my spinning wheel mats as I also have several as well as some variations on the pattern with more repeats. It's a fun tat!
