Errand day

Dave and I ran errands today. His current project is building shelves in the basement to hold Christmas decorations. In addition to buying boards for the shelving, Dave also found some garland on clearance that we can use next year. Believe it or not, I did not find a single thing that I wanted to buy!

I did find time to knit some ornament covers. These will be for next Christmas. Once I finish covering the ornaments, I will embellish them. I've been looking at ideas for embellishment, and have found many things I'd like to try.

Three gnomes a day will soon be unachievable. I have too many other projects I want to complete. However, it is nice to have a jump start on my gnome production!

I only managed to crochet one hedgehog today, and I'm okay with that.

I still have to undo a ring on my tatted bookmark. I really need to talk myself into that!

  1. Thanks for the hedgehog picture, I wondered how you made them. No purchases? Well done!

    1. My grandson, Janko, has one in this yarn. He calls it Skittles, because it has the color of a popular candy by that name.

  3. I did smile to myself you did not buy anything, we went away between christmas and new year and I said I dont need anything when we went shopping with my sister in law, famous last words, two tops and a shirt for hubby, a magazine which I rearely buy
these days, then three pots of jam, two pots of apple cider jelly for pork, and hubby brought me a brooch, plus my sister in law handed me her orchid plant saying you can have it, I dont know how to look after it, it has two babies to be repotted and the main plant to be sorted ou and repotted,
I look forward to seeing your lovely new projects in 2025
