Hanky time

We spent another Saturday at Alison's working on her house. Dave worked. Alison ran the kids around. I tatted! Even using size 20 thread, it takes a long time to tat a hanky edging. I didn't take any extra thread with me, so here is where I had to stop. I think that's pretty good progress for one day!

I did have my shuttles loaded for another Spinning Wheel glass mat. This one is in size 20 Lizbeth, Leaf Green Lt. #683.

You'd think I'd get tire of tatting this pattern, but I don't. In fact, I can hardly wait to see what it will look like in the next color a pull out of the tub of thread I have on hand!

  3. The hankie looks so delicate. Yes, the spinningwheels look so different in different colours, it's a good way to show off threads.

  4. My MIL had tatted handkerchief edgings (6x4) for gifts, including the pattern you are tatting which she also elongated into a sari edging ! She made it a point to finish one fully loaded clover shuttle each day. Your lovely hanky just reminded me of that ...
    Beautiful shade of green.

  5. Your hanky edging and Glass Mat are lovely. I'm wondering if you have memorized the second. I'm also wondering if you have them on every flat surface of your house...
