Close, but no cigar!

I knew I wouldn't have enough Citrus LIMON to finish "Cornelia," but I gave it the old college try! I finished using up my last little bit of thread last night. I think this doily is absolutely stunning! In size 20 HDT it will measure about 10" across when I finish it. I guess since I've done all I can at this point, I'm free to start another project! I think I hear "Eleonora" calling my name!

  2. That design is lovely that's my next challenge.

Have you done Eleanora before, if not email me and I can give you some help. I have just finished my second one.

  3. That looks so pretty, and I am struggling slowly through Beatrice. I know I haven't enough thread, but I will order some more and it's quite fun see how far one can go, no?

  4. Mom, that would look awfully pretty in my sunroom... or my dining room... ;) But it would look awfully pretty anywhere in your house, too!

  5. Tattycat, no worries... I already e-mailed Sherry about more thread, and as you can tell from her comment, it will be here in no time flat!

Thank you everyone for your wonderful comments... they keep me going!

Snowy, it took me three starts before I got Beatrice right. Once I finished it, I realized I just need to look at tatting Iris's patterns in a different way. Once I understand how each segment fits together, I find the pattern easy to follow. I hope the same holds true for you!

Alison, you never know... Cornelia might show up in your house one day!

  9. Diane, that is a lovely doily, I hope you get the thread to finish it. I particularly like your even tension. I personally think that tension can make or break a piece of tatting!
