Tatted Snowflake #2

It sure is hard to get a good picture when it's still dark outside! Same pattern, same thread, same frame as #1... I need to do a little experimenting to figure out which threads and patterns will result in a snowflake that will fit in the frame. Right now, I don't have enough brain power to do that, so I'll just stick with the tried and true!

  1. It's lovely! You have your tree up so early? Nothing like getting an early start on the Christmas decorating, aye? I expect if you are starting now, then by the time Christmas comes your home will look like a veritable Christmas Shoppe!

Where can I get some lovely frames like yours? They would look perfect on my tree. I'm quite serious!

  2. That's been the problem with my frames too. I started keeping track in my books, recording the size of the thread and the finished motif. It's so disappointing when you have this lovely intricate pattern that would look so good in a certain frame but you can't get it small enough to center right!

  3. C'est magnifique! Merveilleux!
I just love how the delicate lace looks in the gracefully scrolling frame. And the ribbon! Ooh, la la!

Can't explain why, but these ornaments inspire me to speak French. Maybe it's a Morticia Addams thing...

  4. Tried and true is VERY pretty! The snowflakes really POP in those ornaments. I like the effect on the tree! How many frames do you have?
