And another two rounds...

funny... each round seems to take a little longer! ; )

And then it could be that I've been a little distracted...

putting together 9 patch squares for my quilt.

I wonder how I'll get anything accomplished when school starts four weeks from tomorrow. The summer is really flying by!

  8. Your doily is really beautiful! I hate that the closer you get to being done, the longer it takes :)

I would be distracted by that fabric too . . .

  9. I love working in rounds but when it gets bigger, it takes forever to finish one round.

  12. I love the way the doily is looking! I like how the rings from the outer two rounds come together to look like a single group of rings. How many rounds left?

A friend of mine who's a teacher always says he's way busier during the summer than during the school year! It's because he saves stuff up till school is out, and then he has two and a half months to get it all done.

  13. The doily is beautiful! Yes, it takes longer as it gets bigger. There's more tatting stitching to do for each new rounds than the previous.

The quilt is coming along pretty!

  16. It's amazing how the rounds expand outward in a perfect 'ripple' effect. It's an amazing design and you're doing a wonderful job!

It was depressing to hear you have only 4 weeks left before school! I wasn't happy when I went into a well-known card store and saw - Christmas ornaments and displays. I almost lost it! I can't deal with this extreme pushing of the calendar!

  17. Wow, the doily is just a stunner. I can't wait to see it finished. It's beautiful now so I'm really looking forward to seeing it.

I like the quilt too. I guess you found your sewing room too. It's hard to find time for both but you're getting it done. Both are lovely and I hope you get them done before school starts again.
