Yes-U-Can Doily Challenge - Tatting Progress Day 3

I managed to get the chains I wanted, but the result was a rather ripply piece! I pinned and steamed, but there's still a little bit of ripple. The good news is, I have the correct number of rings!

  1. That looks really good. Why DIDN'T you make it in blue, though? Jane ducking and diving under the keyboard.

  5. Wow, it looks super, Diane!
    Jane! :)
I've been drawing it out on paper, looking, and drawing some more.
I still haven't started but I have my shuttle wound and ready....
I know I can do it...I know I can do it.

  6. I love the look of the outer rows. Somehow, now I feel that tatting has too many rings and chains and empty spaces. (ok, am feeling very listless after finishing a few big projects. For two days straight I have not done any crafting)

  7. Your doily is so beautiful. My Grandma was a whiz at looking at something and then being able to recreate it without a pattern. Happy tatting...

  8. Neato! I like the solid effect. It contrasts nicely with the negative spaces in the center.
