What a goof!

I've been sitting here feeling sorry for myself, because people hadn't been commenting on my blog... or so I thought! Here, when I was playing around with settings trying to make it easy for all my blog buddies, I enabled comment moderation. It probably wouldn't have been a problem if I had known what to do with it!

So, dear friends, I have now caught up on all the comments from the previous week, and I'm feeling much better. I now know that you are not bored with my posts regarding Sulky thread, and I will continue my Sulky journal.

However, I have had to set up those annoying word verification settings. I couldn't believe the number of disgusting spam comments that Blogger caught. I will never mumble to myself about those goofy, wavy characters again!

Now, back to your regularly scheduled tatting...

  1. Since they changed the word verification I cannot read the stupid words . . . always takes me at least three tries to get a comment posted. But even though I haven't commented on your blog in the last week (or two), I have been reading it. I've been too busy to do much of anything in the last couple of weeks. (Including tatting and posting on the blog).

  2. There always seem to be changes going on to rattle our cages! I've learned to make a game out of those wavy words!

I'm writing this on my new tablet as I take a break from my stint at the Maple Syrup festival where we are spreading the word about tatting! Happy international tatting day.

  7. Oh, Diane, it's all right! I am greatly annoyed by the fact I can't comment from my wordpress account - it *says* my verification is wrong, even when I am sure it's not! I have no problems commenting with anonymous or google account identities, so I'll just use that... I too am amazed at the weird spam one gets!

  8. I don't use the word verification system. I find that Blogger does a pretty good job of filtering out the spam. I take a quick look to make sure it didn't mislabel something and then delete them. It is rare for a spam post to wind up in my awaiting approval tab.

I always enjoy reading your blog, so keep the posts coming. Happy International Tatting Day!
