YLI #V85 ~ Nordic Fjord

This may be my favorite color combination! I love the shades of deep, dark blue. However, I will be sure to not wear dark blue pants when tatting with this thread. I really need a light background so that I can see what I'm doing! The shuttle is another favorite from LaCossette, Chocolate Ice.

  1. I don't think I've seen that shuttle before! It's so pretty! To be honest though, I don't think she knows how to make one that isn't absolutely beautiful. :-)
Your tatting is so nice to look at as always. That is a pretty color combination. I'm amazed you can tat with thread.

  3. I've lost track of how many of these colorful motifs you have made, as you continue to provide all this interesting research on blending threads.

We voted in a primary today, and since they changed over to touch-screen computer voting machines (which don't take up a lot of room), we go to the library at the elementary school, rather than to the gymnasium. I couldn't help thinking how this is your world, and I found it to be very cheerful and colorful. I wanted to stay and look around, especially at all the cute books for kids, but there was no oportunity to do that. Guess I'll have to try an open house!

  6. Blue is one of my colours, vary dark blue is hard to do and can turn purple in night light, so I can understand why you said not to wear dark clothes when you tat with it.
It's a lovely pattern and they look lovely

  8. What you need are some tatting aprons for whatever color you are working on.

  9. Hi Diane, When I am using a dark color thread I always place a white fabric on my lap. It makes it easier on the eyes for me. (For some reason.) Hope this works for you.
