Not much progress...

I'm almost 1/4 of the way around the Jan Stawasz Masterpiece. I didn't have much time to tat this morning, because I decided to exercise when I got up. What was I thinking? ;-)

I didn't have any time to tat after lunch today, so I made no progress on my Spinning Wheel glass mat. After school I decided to do some yard work, so there was no tatting before dinner.

Dave had to go in to work super early this morning because of the cold weather. He had to make sure his plants didn't freeze. He went in for a "nap" around 6:30 tonight, and I've kept the house quiet (no t.v., no music) so that he could get some good sleep. I decided to work on more button flowers for Rita until he got up, but now I'm thinking of going to bed as I'm too tired to tat!

So, not much progress on the tatting front, but it was a very fulfilling day.

  1. Masterpiece, indeed! That doily is beautiful. And I still love the buttons. Any idea how many you've made total?

    1. I would guess close to 500. I've been selling them loose, attached to hair clips, and attached to headbands. Who knew something so simple to make would be so popular?

  2. I like the quotation I once read that when I get the urge to exercise, I lie down until the feeling passes! Love those pairs of buttons, they're so pretty.

  6. Hi Diane! I just can't keep up with you and your many gorgeous projects! You have endless energy! I tried looking for that huge colorful piece you were working on...is it finished? Did I miss it? This white one is stunning, and so was the shawl you made..and those Easter eggs...and all of those adorable button flowers too! ... Can I ask what type of vitamins you're taking? I need to get some. ;) xoxo

    1. Haha! No, I'm not finished with the blue doily. I've taken a break to finish up button flower pairs for Rita. I'm ready to focus on my doilies again!

No vitamins... I just avoid housework! ;-)

  8. Well, you do need your exercise and the garden needs to be tended to. Fortunately here, no need watering because its been raining heavily almost every afternoon.
