Disaster averted

Well, maybe disaster is a bit strong. I set down my doily to eat breakfast this morning, and while I was eating I was admiring the design... until I saw a wonky ring!

The ring is the right size, but I joined to the wrong picot! Yes, it would have driven me crazy, so tonight I carefully snipped out the mistake and fixed it. I'm much happier now!

Jane, I'm not very good at keeping track of time, but I think the last motif took me an hour and 20 minutes to tat. I don't think I'll be keeping too close track of my time. I might become discouraged and give up!

Nine motifs down, three more to go!

  1. Oh My Goodness...you tat such amazing pieces and I am amazed at how you can "fix" a tiny little mishap. Creative Tatting Bliss...

  2. that is such an easy mistake to make, and I seem to do it ALL the time! - I have to remind myself that the clovers are supposed to "hold hands"- somehow that sticks in my brain a bit more.

  3. Sounds a silly mistake, but easy done, well done on seeing it and able to correct it.

  4. Gosh. You manage to find the time to do a motif here and another motif there, so I wondered how much time that was.

  5. Yeah, don't track your time on this--a definite marathon.

  7. Being able to fix mistakes by adding a thread and hiding ends is a very useful skill to have! Great work!

  8. I hate that but I was thinking that mine take over an hour to do and then of course I make mistakes too!

  9. It would take me a week to make such a motif. I hope my speed will improve!!
