Another one down

We went to daughter Carol's house yesterday to finish taking down the tree that we started on Wednesday. What a lot of work that was! Luckily, the weather was a bit cooler and Carol was home to help. With the three of us working, it took an additional 6 1/2 hours to finish up. I'm think that tree removal services earn every penny of their pay!

It was 3 in the afternoon when we returned home. I was too tired to do anything. I took a short nap and then managed to do a few minor things around the house until dinner time. After dinner, the two of us just sat and did nothing.

Today I started a new secret project! I'm not giving out any clues just yet. I may never successfully complete the project, but I sure hope I do. I spent about 4 hours on it today. I'm not sure how long this thing is going to take, but for now I'll keep on plugging along!

Carol and Jon were given tickets to the Cubs/Pirates game today. Their seats were in the third row behind the Cubs dugout. I decided that I should tat a Blooming' Ice Drop in Cubs colors in honor of the occasion.

I didn't see Carol or Jon on t.v., but I did finish the Ice Drop!

Unfortunately, the Cubs lost 14-3.

    1. You are so right! I"m not much of an outdoor girl. I wilt in the heat, and the bugs love me. That makes the work take even longer! Thank you for the compliment!

    1. I don't know how Dave does it. He just keeps going, and I spend a lot of time sitting on the sidelines thinking about the work that still needs to be done! Thank you for the compliment!

  7. Catching up on your posts! You're always so busy. Can't even imagine removing a tree. I get exhausted removing weeds!

I had to check our Pirates website, as I thought you hit some wrong keys on that score! Somehow I missed the sports news that night! My little great-nephews went to Wrigley Field when they were only 5 and 8 years old 2 years ago. Their parents take them to several Pirates 'away' games each year, to see the different stadiums They love historic Wrigley!
