Break time!

I took a break from all my fiber related activities yesterday. Instead, I spent time talking on the phone with family members and meeting daughter Carol for lunch. It was a nice change of pace!

I did take time to tat some Ice Drops today, but I also took some time for walking.

I realized that I had been sitting a lot more in the past few weeks, and I really need to make sure I get up and move around!

So, I tatted a little, walked a little, with each little bit adding up to a lot!

Playing with beads

It's been a while since I've tatted an Ice Drop with beads, so this morning I pulled out some beads, strung them, and started tatting.

I wasn't sure if I'd like the white ribbon, but once I took the picture, it seemed just right to me!

I also spent time weaving today. My band is growing!

Just one today...

I subbed in third grade today, and I had so much fun! The day just flew by. So, I only had time for one Ice Drop, and that's okay!

Two drop day

The day got away from me again. I don't know how that happens!

I did manage to tat an Ice Drop in the morning,

and I tatted another one in the afternoon. I guess that two is better than none!

I did spend time with my band weaving today. I think I became overconfident, because I made several mistakes. The good news is, I'm getting better at fixing my mistakes! 😊

Save the date!

Tollway Tatters will be meeting Saturday, May 20 at 10 a.m. We meet at the Hinsdale Oasis on 294, and we try to find tables near Starbucks. If you're in the Chicago area, we would love to have you join us!

Sue Anna and I usually stay until somewhere between 2 and 3 p.m., so you can come and go as you please. Look for crazy ladies wearing tie-dyed t-shirts and tables filled with tatting supplies!

Funky!

Granddaughter Sophia has her own special style!

It's kind of funky, and I love it!

I think it's kind of funny that I channeled those same color choices today!

Today was a sub day, so I was able to get some tatting done during the teacher's plan time.

It always helps that I have most of one tatted first thing in the morning, and I finish up one right around dinner time. Yes, I do believe I will have a stash of Ice Drops for Christmas! 😉

A touch of sunshine

We had a tiny bit of sun today, not much, but enough to brighten my day!

Following my morning routine, I started off the day tatting an Ice Drop. I've given away or sold most of the ones I've made, and if I want to have them for Christmas, I really need to have a good supply on hand!

I spent quite a bit of time weaving today. This is the scarf I started several weeks ago. I really like the way it turned out. It's just under 100" long!

I also worked on my band weaving, but it really doesn't look any different, so I didn't see any point in posting another picture.

It was only natural to finish off the day with another Ice Drop. How did your day shape up?
