Snow day!

We had our sixth snow day of the year today. In 29 years of teaching, we have never used more than three snow days. Yesterday, this shot would have shown you brown grass and bare trees. What a difference a day makes!

Wednesday is a great day at school. I see both of my third grade classes, both of my fourth grade classes, and one of my fifth grade classes. I'm kind of sad to have missed seeing them today, especially since I would have met with so many enthusiastic tatters!

The up side of having a snow day is the tatting time I don't often get during the school year. Three pattern repeats to go, and I will have round 3 completed!

  1. Wow! And we are finally getting warm enough temps to melt some of our snow. At least we know winter is coming to an end. Soon. Very soon.

  2. I cannot believe you are having more snow! We have had none this entire year...so far, touch wood. I am sorry you had to miss all the tatting talented class mates. Stay safe and warm dear...

  3. Do you have to make up the time taken for snow days out of school holidays later in the year? Well, the doily HAD to be blue, didn't it?!?!?!

  4. We were dropped on, too, Diane. White stuff everywhere, and I missed an Embroidery Guild stitch-in. Sorry you missed your tatters---it means, too, we missed an update on the young tatter's tat progress.

  6. Wow! We had cooler temps and lots of wind but no moisture. Glad you had time for your doily but I do miss your update on the young tatters. It's exciting to hear how enthused they are!

  7. It missed us. Another snow day, wow! Will you have to make it up? That Twirlz is very interesting. Love the doily!
