Festive Tatting

I didn't get much done today, but I did finish Motif #1 from DMC Festive Tatting. I love my new shuttle from Lorraine Kolasa. I feel very elegant tatting with a silver shuttle!

For those of you who have shown interest in my bookmark sleeves, Lisa Adams is now carrying them in packs of 10 at Tatting Corner! I know that many of you are not interested in purchasing 50 or 100 sleeves as I did, but a pack of 10 seems like a good starting place. Lisa asked to use one of my photos for her web site, so I am now famous... at least if you visit Tatting Corner!

  2. Forgot to mention - I've had that book for years and rarely opened it. Your motif looks so good, it makes me want to dig out the book and tat from it for a while. Beautiful tatting!

    1. I think I didn't tat from it because I really wanted to tat snowflakes. For me, a snowflake has to have six points!

  4. That ornament is gorgeous and many times I see something so stunning it comes from that simple book. It's not that many pages or patterns but somehow I overlook that book. Also I always feel the tatted ornaments look better than the book pictures.

    1. I agree! So many times the pictures just don't do the pattern justice.

  5. So elegant with the little rings around the edge! Sounds a good idea to make the sleeves available in smaller quantities.

    1. I know that many people don't go overboard buying supplies as I do. Ten seems a much more do-able number than 50!

  7. I’ve had that book since it was first available and have made many of the Snowflakes but I have never tried number one because I don’t like it. Until now yours is absolutely gorgeous! As soon as I finish the one I’m working on I’m going to make that one! Thank you for the inspiration!
PS it’s so fun to say that I have tatted with the famous Diane!
